When DHL Logistics needed a corporate video production partner who could move fast without cutting corners, they didn't have months to plan. They had six weeks — and two very different stories to tell about the same warehouse.
Black Fox Media was brought in on referral from DHL's Operations Excellence team to produce two videos from a single site visit: a Site Overview Video built to showcase the warehouse's operations to leadership, partners, and prospective clients, and a Team Highlight Video built to capture the culture and people behind the work. Both needed to be ready fast. Both needed to hold up in front of executives, peers across DHL's network, and outside clients evaluating the site for their own business.
Here's how we approached it — and what happened once the videos were delivered.
The Challenge: One Site Visit, Two Audiences, Six Weeks
DHL came to us with a tight runway: less than six weeks from kickoff to final delivery. That timeline had to cover everything — concepting, shot lists, travel, two full days of on-site production, editing, and revisions — for two videos with distinct goals and different audiences.
The Site Overview Video needed to do double duty. Internally, it had to give DHL leadership and partner sites a clear, professional look at how this warehouse operates. Externally, it needed to function as a sales asset — something the team could hand to prospective clients evaluating the site's space, equipment, and process without requiring an in-person walkthrough.
The Team Highlight Video had a different job entirely: put a human face on the operation. DHL's site leadership wanted something that reflected why their team shows up every day, something that could lift morale and give the crew a reason to feel proud of where they work.
Two goals, one shoot, no room for a second trip.
The Approach: Concept, Shot List, Shoot, Edit — Compressed
A four-person Black Fox Media crew spent two days on site capturing both videos in parallel. Before arrival, we built a detailed shot list for each video so the crew could move through the facility with purpose rather than improvising on the fly — critical when the schedule doesn't allow for a reshoot.
On site, the team balanced two different shooting styles in the same window: wide, structured coverage of the warehouse floor, equipment, and workflow for the Site Overview Video, and candid, interview-driven footage of the team for the Team Highlight Video. Capturing genuine, unscripted moments from a busy operations team — without slowing down their workday — meant building trust quickly and working efficiently around real shifts in progress.
From there, our editing team turned two days of raw footage into two finished, broadcast-quality videos:
- Site Overview Video — 4:12 runtime, built for leadership review and external client use
- Team Highlight Video — 1:57 runtime, built for internal morale and culture storytelling
Both were delivered inside the six-week window.
The Results: A Sales Tool and a Culture Win
The Site Overview Video is now actively used by the DHL site as a sales and relationship-building tool — a way to show potential clients exactly how the warehouse runs, what the space looks like, and how the team operates, before they ever set foot on site.
The Team Highlight Video did exactly what it was built to do. DHL's site leadership has used it to boost team morale and plans to share it across other DHL locations as an example of what's possible. According to the team, this was the first site in their sector to produce a video like this — and it's already being positioned as a model for other DHL sites to follow.
"The first thing I'm going to do when we get this finished video is I'm going to show it to my team. I'm always looking for things to keep their morale up and keep them moving forward. And hopefully we're going to kind of brag to some of our other sites about it. Right? So we're the first one of our sites in our sector doing this."

Why This Matters Beyond Logistics
DHL's project is a good example of what's possible when a video production team is built to handle compressed timelines without sacrificing quality, and what's possible when a single shoot is designed from the start to serve more than one purpose. Whether the goal is winning new business, telling your team they matter, or both at once, the production approach is the same: clear planning, an experienced crew, and a shot list built around the outcome — not just the footage.
If your organization has a site, a team, or a story worth showing — to clients, to leadership, or to the people who show up every day — we'd like to talk about what that could look like.
